Well, in July, on the 12 to be exact, I'm going on a trip to Tennessee and the people that are coming made days for dinner like "hamburger day" and "salad day" and other things like that if you understand what i'm saying. And, if they cook certain meals for dinner and we don't like it, the only thing we have to eat is ramen noodles and I'm not saying that I don't like ramen noodles, but I would like something besides that on some of those days because you see, I'm going to be staying in a cabin in Tennessee for 6 days, so I will tell you what all i have to bring on the trip. I have nutri-grain bars, stride shift gum, Pringles, Easy Mac, apple juice, water bottles.

Question #5:

what is something really easy but yummy to make? :D?

im super hungry! but nothing sounds good :'( what's something i can make besides a pizza, cheeseburger, ramen noodles, smoothie, sandwich, or a salad. cause that's what i've been eating recently! i don't care if its healthy or really fattening! just help me pick yummy food!!!!!

Question #6:

Why can't I stick to a diet or motivate myself to improve my life? Am I still depressed?

There are loads of things about my life that I want to change, and I have loads of plans and really want to carry them out and be kind of a new person but I just cannot stick to it. I want to lose a couple of stone, and I know how to do it, like what to eat, what not to eat, when to eat and although I'm currently recovering from an operation and can't do any strenuous exercise for another few weeks, I know what exercise I need to do. I want to lose weight and I want to be thinner.

I also want to "re-invent" myself- not in a massively flamboyant way, more to start to make an improvement on the mess that I am at the moment. I've had depression for years and haven't bothered with myself much, haven't maintained many friendships, have had a crap job for years (which isn't entirely my fault, I've had a long-term illness which because of my sick record has prevented me from either applying elsewhere or moving somewhere else in the company I currently work for). I currently do admin, which is the most boring thing in the world, I'm a creative person and I want a job where I can use my creativity. I actually really like fashion (not in a current trend way, I mean I love putting different clothes together and shopping in weird places), I like that I look better with some make-up on and I know how to do it well, I like messing around changing my hair, and yet I don't bother wearing make-up and I change my hair but get bored with it instead of keeping whatever I've done with it up. I love eating healthy food- I'd much rather have a lovely fresh salad than a packet of ramen noodles but why can't I stick to it?

Every single day I wake up and think, right, it starts today, I'm going to lose weight, I'm going to exercise, I'm going to decide what colour to do my hair etc and I don't do it, I'm going to be more sociable, at the very least update my facebook status which I haven't done for months and months, I'll get back in touch with people, I'll join a writing group but I do nothing, nothing at all, towards any of these things. Ever.

Why can't I motivate myself? Why can't I stick to anything? It's like I'm afraid of actually doing these things- what will people say, will they think I've gone vain overnight, what if I just end up looking and seeming ridiculous? Why am I so keen to stay in the rut I've dug for myself? Why am I so lazy about it all? I know full well nothing will change if I don't make it happen, I want it to happen, and yet I don't do it. I just procrastinate, and think of some lame reason why today isn't the day to do all these things, or even one of these things. I admit that right this minute (i.e today) isn't the best time- I'm still sore and tired from my op, I haven't had any children but my op was a hysterectomy so now I never will and I'm trying to get my head round that, but this op has finally freed me from all the problems and illness I'd got used to over the years (had severe endometriosis) and once I'm back on my feet is the perfect time to make these changes- but this lack of motivation has been going on for years. Is it because of my depression? I've been taking anti-depressants for years and years and I'm seeing a therapist but sometimes I feel so so down still, more so since my op but I think that's pretty normal (it was only 8 days ago).

Does this lack of motivation mean that although on the whole, despite the down days, my depression seems so much better than before, I'm actually still as depressed as I've ever been? Or will I wake up one day soon in a much better frame of mind and something will have changed in me and I'll be able to do the things that I want? Thanks for any answers or suggestions in advance xx

Question #11:

Trying to find chicken ramen that does not need separate flavor pack....online or Seattle area.?

I use them to make a cabbage chicken salad (as a topping) but the Nissin variety that I normally get is no longer sold online or in Seattle. Does anyone know of a commonly found ramen that has the noodles already flavored?
The problem is that I cannot understand much of the packaging so I cannot tell by looking which brands are pre-flavored. Hmmm..

Question #12:

Lower teenage cholesterol?

Hi, I'm a teenage girl and my cholesterol is in the healthy zone for me, but it's a bit too high in my opinion, and I need to lower it. The range was 100-199, and I am 181. Lately I've been trying to eat healthier and I've been eating a lot of fruits and salads. Is this the right way to lower it? Would exercise help? I'm not overweight, I'm actually a bit slender. I'm going to stop eating fast food and salty foods like ramen noodles. What else should I do?

Question #13:

I have a date tonight and need advise a what meal to cook?

The date is with a girl that I have been waiting all my life to ask out and just finally mustered up the guts to do so recently. The problem is that I don't really know how to cook, and the meals I do know how to cook are hardly appropriate for a date (e.g. oven pizza, ramen noodles, etc.). I bought some very expensive whine for this date and I want everything to go well. So can someone recommend a meal that is appropriate for a first-time date and that would also go well with whine? Maybe a light chicken, with some salad or something. Please nothing complicated- there is no way I would be able to cook it. Just something easy and light. Specific ingredients would be a tremendous help. Thank you!
Lol, I meant to say wine not "whine." Thank you Nikki P.

Question #15:

Is this an okay diet plan?

Im 14 (girl) and I weigh about 140-145.
Im trying to get down to 120 by August (I think it's a very realistic time frame).

Here's my plan(can make changes on it):

Breakfast: cheerios & a banana in it, with fat free skim milk.

Snack: an orange

Lunch:(don't have much healthy things for lunch) a sandwich-chicken,turkey, or ham slices, wheat bread, and a little mustard(I don't like alot on my sandwich) OR raviolis OR ramen noodles (sometimes we have lettuce for a salad with fat free italian dressing).

Snack: either a banana, orange, or crackers

Dinner: Have smaller portions, and make it as healthy as I can

Drinks: Let myself have either one cup of Chocolate milk or apple juice a day, then all water.

About 30 or 40 minutes after lunch: walk on treadmill for 40 minutes.
(and of course take a multivitamin thing in the morning)
I always jump on the trampoline randomly for about 5 minutes a day, about 3 times a day.

&& I forgot to add I am only going to walk on the treadmill on the weekdays, and take off the weekends, for a break and maybe do something like yoga from my computer

Question #16:

I have to cook a MEAL for my family, please help?

I have NO experience in cooking what-so ever. So please help me out.

Okay so I have to plan a meal for my family and include everything from the Food Guide.
Here's what i was thinking:

Appetizer: Dumplings or some kind of Soup
Main Course: Stir-Fry Vegetables with Rice or Egg Drop Noodles
Desert: Fruit with Ice Cream
Drink: Any suggestions? ( I have to make this too )

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to make a meal but yeah, these are my ideas. I want to throw in a Salad or some Garlic Bread but i'm not sure how that's gonna turn out and i want to go with the whole " Asian Theme."

I'm seriously considering just making Ramen Noodles but I'm not sure if my teacher would allow that...
should i pick another desert?

please help a girl out

Question #20:

Help on helping a vegetarian?

long story short, my sister likes to call herself a vegetarian.
a few years ago, she saw a PETA video or two, and swore off meat forever.

the problem is... she is extremely uneducated about the idea of a balanced diet.
rather than eating from the "vegetarian food pyramid" and simply just omitting meat from her daily life, she quit eating most regular foods altogether (mainly because she found out what jell-o is made of) and started eating "obviously" meat-less things.
basically... rather than research what goes into her food, or make her own food, she has decided to only eat a few things that she knows don't have meat.

this wouldn't be a problem, if she was eating vegetable stir-fry or salad... but she has resorted to eating (all exaggerations aside) 3 or 4 ramen noodle packets a day, and drinking soda and powerade (because she doesn't "like" milk). occasionally she will eat some carrots with ranch, or veggie fried rice... but she clearly has a horrible diet.
BUT every time someone brings it up, she fires back that we "don't accept her choice" or something along those lines.
honestly, no one cares that she doesn't eat meat. but because no one else became a vegetarian when she did, so she takes a "one girl against the world" stance when we try to talk to her. (it doesn't help that she is 15 haha)

i guess i'm just looking for advice on how to try to talk her into a better diet.
she lives across the country with my father, and i don't see her/them that much. though obviously my father is allowing her to eat this way, i think that it is purely because he is just too old to argue with her every day anymore.
that being said... she doesn't like to cook or anything, so veggie recipes would fall on deaf ears.
i guess i'm looking more for "ready made" vegetarian products, or companies that only use vegetarian-friendly products. simple, yet healthy vegetarian and teenager-friendly foods lol.
^_^

thanks in advance
=)
