I think a salad would compliment your meal well. Since your doing an Asian theme heres a recipe for a side dish.Vegetable Green Curry
serves: 8 prep time: 15 mins cook time:10 mins
2 tbls vegetable oil
1/4 cup Thai green curry paste
2 tbls finely chopped garlic
Two 14 oz cans unsweetened coconut milk
4 tsp soy sauce
4 tsp finely chopped fresh ginger
1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets
2 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
3 cups green beans, sliced into 2 inch pieces
1 cup loosely packed chopped fresh basil
in a skillet heat oil over high heat, stir in the curry paste and garlic and cook for 1 min. stir in the coconut milk, soy sauce and ginger, then add the broccoli, bell peppers and green beans. cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until the veggies are crisp and tender, about 4 mins, stir in basil and serve over basmati rice.
For your drink: Kiwi Smartini
2 cups ice cups
8 kiwis, coarsely chooped, plus 1 kiwi sliced for garnish on the rim of the glass
1 1/4 cups fresh lemon juice (ablout 6 lemons)
1 cup sugar
using a blender mix the ice cubes, kiwis, lemon juice, sugar and 2 cups water until smooth. Pour into martini glasses and garnish with kiwi slices
